Organic Oils
Mountain Farm Soap has always tried their best to keep all ingredients they use as Natural and Organic as possible. This is what sets us apart from commercially produced soaps and other mass produced products claiming “natural soaps”. The public is becoming far more conscious of chemicals and other ingredients they consume and the trend is moving towards “natural “products. We are pleased that more and more people are realizing the benefits of our products and we will continue sourcing the best ingredients. We are always being asked if we make Organic Products. We do try to buy Organic and Fair Trade when we can. We try our best to be Organic, but like everyone else, it is nearly impossible to be 100%. We are as organic as anyone, this is our promise, and because of the laws regarding labelling, a promise is really about the only comfort a consumer can use to feel comfortable with a product, because the regulations can not . There are many companies abusing this word, and a consumer can be easily mislead into believing they are paying for something, that they are just not getting. This is true for all products, from household cleaners to food products. You just have to turn the television on and watch the commercials to see that this has become a successful marketing trend. Labelling with words like “organic, natural, green,” attract attention, but the written laws allow far too many exclusions and are too ambiguous to hold any manufacturer accountable for a true Organic product. This makes it next to impossible for a consumer to know what is true. Our products are handmade, in small quantities, and not mass produced. We list all ingredients on our label, as we are proud of our products, and research the ingredients that go into them. We believe that when consumers decide to switch from products that are petrol-chemical based to botanical based they have made the first step to a healthier being. Recently we have purchased “Certified Organic” vegetable oils. In the near future we hope to bring you a Organic Skin Care Salve, and some new Organic Soap. Stay tuned!
